Arrive in Saigon
Your driver meets you at Tan Son Nhat airport. The rest of the day is yours: a first walk downtown, a coffee on a balcony above the traffic.

Day 2
Saigon and the Cu Chi tunnels
The Reunification Palace, the Central Post Office and the War Remnants Museum in the morning; in the afternoon the Cu Chi tunnels, 60 km out of the city, with tea and cassava on the way back.

Day 3
Ben Tre by boat to Can Tho
A boat through the coconut canals of Ben Tre: brick kilns, a coconut-candy workshop, a mat-weaving house. Lunch in an orchard, then a sampan along the small waterways before the drive to Can Tho.

Day 4
Cai Rang floating market
Out on the river before six, when the market boats are busiest. Visit the old Binh Thuy house, then drive back to Saigon with lunch on the way.

Day 5
Fly to Da Lat
A short flight up to 1,500 metres. Afternoon at the lake and the night market, where the air is cool enough for a jacket.

Pine hills and coffee farms
